Skincare glossary
Retinol
A form of vitamin A that speeds up skin cell turnover and supports collagen production.
- Who it suits
- Fine lines, uneven texture, early signs of ageing.
Why is retinol used?
Included when a product is targeting fine lines, texture or uneven tone. It's one of the most proven ingredients for visibly renewing skin over time.
Worth knowing
Start with a couple of nights a week and always wear SPF during the day. More retinol doesn't mean faster results, just more irritation.
